  What's the website’s purpose?

  Evolvr collects interesting websites in real time using Twitter. You just need to use a specific hashtag and your website or the website you like will be posted in a few minutes.

  What are the advantages?

  You just need to tweet the website, as you normally do, remembering to add the tag #evolvr.
  By doing so, you will make the website popular and avoid annoying registrations to other galleries. All the websites posted can be explored in order to draw inspiration by browsing among users, colors, websites or tags.

  How to post a cool website?

  Tweet as you always would do.
  If you're on Twitter, just tweet as you always would do. No additional action is required except use #evolvr tag!

  You just need to remember to include a short description, the link to the root of website (only 1st URL will be considered) and all the tags you want (in the hashtag format).

  Are there any APIs?

  Of course, we developed two APIs.

  • Getmycolor enables to get color and description from a simple color code (hexadecimal).
  • Redirectme returns the whole website address from a compressed URL.

  How does Evolvr choose the most popular websites?

  The system is based on a pretty complex algorithm. This algorithm compares the number of tweets, popularity of the author of the tweet and the date the website was posted. Our purpose is to provide at the same time fresh and relevant results.

  What information is saved when I tweet?

  We only save the information made public by Twitter through API: name of the author, text of the message and all the hashtags. It's impossible to collect or save personal information through tweets. In addition to this, only the tweets with a specific hashtag will be saved.

  How can I avoid ending up on Evolvr?

  Just don't write the hashtag we use to collect the websites.

  Is there any news on the horizon?

  We are currently in beta phase, but everything should work correctly; there may be some imperfections here and there. The developing process never stops. We plan on improving and adding new features depending on the feedback we receive from our users.
